I'm planning to leave my iPhone 16 Pro Max in a freezer overnight at -1°F for at least ten hours. I'm really concerned about whether it will be okay after that, or if I need to take any specific recovery steps to make sure it still works. Has anyone done something similar? What do you think?

Honestly, it's not a good idea to leave your phone in the freezer. Extreme cold can definitely harm the battery, and you might also get condensation forming inside the device when it warms up, which can really mess up the circuitry.
I really can't wrap my head around why you would even want to do this! Just leave it somewhere safe until you need it, trust me, your phone will thank you.
If you absolutely have to, I’d recommend sealing it in a freezer bag first. That should help keep moisture out and protect it a bit better. But even then, be cautious!
It's risky! If you really need it, remember to let it warm up slowly to room temperature before trying to turn it on. Don't just rush it, or you might end up with a dead phone!
Good call! Using a desiccant in the bag would help absorb any moisture that might sneak in.
