Is it Safe to Mix Different Brands of RAM with Matching Specs?

Hey everyone! I'm considering upgrading my RAM from my current G.SKILL Ripjaws V (2x8GB) to some OLOy RAM (2x16GB). I've checked that the CAS Latency (CL), pin count, and voltage match between the two sets. I know there can be problems when mixing RAM from different brands or of different sizes. Since all the specs are the same, do you think it would work without issues?

Mixing RAM from different brands can lead to compatibility issues, even if the specs seem identical. It's generally safer to stick with the same brand and model. If you do decide to mix them, be prepared for potential stability problems or the possibility that they might not run at their full speed. Just a heads-up!

Exactly! Even with matching specs, different brands sometimes use different chip designs which can create conflicts. Always best to check for compatibility.
