I'm having trouble with my computer not posting when I cold start it. Each morning, I have to reset the BIOS and enable XMP before it works, but once it's running, everything is fine—I can play games and pass stress tests without any issues.
I've tried checking the cables and turning off fast boot, so I'm starting to think the CMOS battery might be the issue. I'm curious to know if it's completely safe to swap out the CMOS battery. Do I need to worry about the quality of the new battery, or can I just grab any replacement of the same type?

It's best to go for a name brand battery instead of a cheap generic one. Stick with trusted brands, and you should be good to go!
Replacing the CMOS battery is generally straightforward. Just make sure to get an exact replacement—check the model and voltage on your current battery. And definitely do this with the power turned off.

Thanks for the tip, I’ll give it a shot!
