Is it Safe to Temporarily Use an Old PSU for My New Build?

Hey folks, I'm new to PC building and I'm currently putting together a budget-friendly rig. I have almost all the parts lined up, but I'm still missing a GPU and a new PSU. I have an old Corsair 650w PSU from a previous build that I know works well. Is it risky to use this old PSU for about a month until I can get a new one? I'm concerned about potentially damaging my new components. Any advice would be appreciated!

Using your old PSU should be fine as long as it’s functioning properly. Just keep an eye on power usage spikes, but since you haven’t got a new GPU yet, it shouldn’t draw too much power. Replacing PSUs can be tricky because the cables aren’t interchangeable between different models, so as long as you reuse the original cables that came with the PSU, you should be good. No frying components should happen if the PSU is alright!

Thanks for clarifying! I'm okay with replugging everything if it comes to that.
