Hey everyone! I recently picked up a used Gigabyte B550 Aorus Pro AC, and the seller mentioned that it doesn't turn on. I tried using Q-Flash Plus, which completed successfully: the USB LED blinked then turned off like it should. Now, I'm debating whether I should go ahead and test it with my CPU (a Ryzen 5 5600), RAM, and PSU, or if that might be risky. I haven't powered it on fully yet—just did the BIOS update with Q-Flash. I have a few questions:
1. Is testing it now with my CPU safe?
2. Could a faulty motherboard potentially damage a good CPU?
3. Should I just take it to a Gigabyte service center instead? I'd love some advice from anyone who's faced a similar situation since I want to avoid risking my working components if there's a known issue. Thanks in advance!

You should be fine to test it out now, especially since the Q-Flash finished clean. Just make sure to set everything up on a non-conductive surface outside the case. CPUs rarely get damaged by faulty motherboards unless there's a major short circuit. Worst case scenario, it just won't boot. So go ahead and give it a try before jumping to a service center.
Just a heads up, I hope you didn't pay too much for it, since you have no guarantee it will work or that it’s even fixable. You will need to install your CPU, at least one stick of RAM, and a GPU for it to function. A damaged board could potentially harm your CPU or other components, but since Q-Flash went smoothly, that risk might be lower. If it's not a hassle, taking it to the service center could be the safest bet, but keep in mind they might charge you since you’re not the original owner.
