Hey everyone! So, my new PC was on and my monitor suddenly stopped working. In a panic, I unplugged the HDMI cable without turning off the PC first. I know that was probably a bad move. I'm really worried about what might happen now—could I have damaged anything? What should I do?

Yeah, unplugging HDMI cables while your PC is running is completely okay. Even DisplayPort cables work fine like that!
I don't think unplugging the HDMI cable while the PC is on is that big of a deal. It's risky to unplug the power cable, but most modern cables and devices can handle being plugged and unplugged while running.
As long as there aren’t any electrical issues with your equipment, you should be totally fine!
Thank you so much for clarifying that!
