Is it safe to use a power splitter for my PC?

I'm considering connecting my PC, which has a 9950x3d processor and a 5090 GPU, to a power splitter instead of directly into the wall. My PSU is 1200W. Is this a safe choice or should I plug it straight into the wall?

Using a standard power splitter should be fine for your setup. Most can handle over 1800 watts, so it should work without any issues.

I’d recommend plugging it directly into the wall for safety. It’s more reliable that way.

It really depends on what else you're running off that splitter. Just make sure to check the total wattage and see if the splitter has a rating for maximum current and voltage. If it's just your PC and maybe a monitor, you should be okay.

It's just a double adapter, so only two plugs. One's for the PC and the other for a monitor. Is that okay?
