Is It Safe to Use Foam from My GPU Box to Prevent GPU Sag?

I recently built a PC using the NR200p case, and there's minimal space between the GPU and the bottom of the case. To help reduce GPU sag, I placed some black foam from the GPU box in the corner of the GPU. I'm concerned about whether this is safe, as I'm worried about the foam melting or catching fire under heat. Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!

If your internal temps get close to 100°C, the foam might start to melt, so it's wise to avoid those high temps anyway. Ideally, keeping your GPU below 70°C should help you avoid any problems, but you might want to consider some alternative solutions since they're usually pretty affordable!

That's a good point! I didn't realize how much the internal case temp could differ from the reported temps. I’ll definitely keep an eye on that!

Yeah, it seems safe. Just keep an eye on your temperatures, and you should be good!

It should be just fine! I actually used a cut piece of a drinking straw to tackle a similar sag issue with my setup.
