I've been using my laptop plugged in every day for the past two months because the battery won't charge at all. I'm wondering if this is harmful to the laptop in any way or if I should take some precautions!

As long as it’s plugged in, it won't harm your laptop. But, I suggest opening it up to check the battery condition. Sometimes, dead batteries can swell up, which is a risk. If you find that it has, definitely remove it carefully and consider getting a replacement.
You'll generally be fine using your laptop plugged in all the time. If you haven't already, it’s a good idea to remove the battery just to be safe.
