I recently noticed a silver wire showing in the CPU cable of my power supply unit. I've been using it for about a year and a half without any issues. Should I replace the cable entirely, or can I just cover it with insulation tape and keep using it for now?

I'd definitely recommend replacing the cable. You want to make sure everything's safe and that there are no underlying issues causing the wire to be exposed. It's better to be safe than sorry!

How urgent is it to replace it? I was planning on upgrading some parts in the summer, and I'd prefer not to have to mess with my PC before then. If it worked fine for 1.5 years, can’t I just use insulation tape for a while?
