I've been playing Fortnite on my i5 11400F paired with an RTX 3060, but I keep experiencing inconsistent FPS, especially when I'm trying to hit 240 FPS. I'm considering an upgrade and have been looking at the Ryzen 7 5800XT setup or sticking with Intel and moving to an i7 11700K. The Intel upgrade costs about $350, while switching to AMD is around $300 for the Ryzen and a new motherboard. Should I go for the upgrade to AMD or remain loyal to Intel?

Have you checked out the Ryzen 5700X3D? Upgrading to that chip could make a huge difference in performance, especially for 1080p gaming! It's built with v-cache tech that keeps things running smoothly for a long while.
Consider getting a better GPU and try overclocking your current CPU, which might save you some cash. It sounds like a larger investment for a new CPU isn't necessary right now, especially if you're just trying to boost your FPS without a huge expense.
I get what you're saying, but since I'm playing at 1080p, I think my GPU is enough for now, and overclocking isn't an option with my 11400F being non-K.
Yeah, but the 5700X3D is priced at over $250 and I'd also need a $170 motherboard. I found the 5800XT for only $140, which is much more budget-friendly.
