I've been using an MSI Gaming X Trio 3080 since it first launched, and while I've enjoyed it, gaming demands keep increasing. I've mainly been playing Monster Hunter World and can lower graphics settings for better performance, but my girlfriend has an older graphics card around a 1060 or 1070, and it doesn't run well for her. I'm thinking of getting a new card for myself and giving her my 3080 so she has better performance. I'm wondering if now is a good time to upgrade, considering the wild prices lately. Is it worth it? Also, what would be a good price-effective option? I'm thinking about maybe the 5070-TI or 5080, but I don't want to overspend like on a 5090. Any advice would be super helpful!

Are you tied to NVIDIA? If you don't use DLSS or CUDA, a Radeon GPU might give you more value for your money. I got a 7900XT for around $850 and haven't had any issues. Just a thought!
Nah, I don't think it's worth it right now. The prices are too crazy for a marginal upgrade.
The 5070 Ti or 9070 XT are solid options right now. With the price hikes and tariffs, they offer great performance, about 45% faster than your 3080. Definitely worth considering!
Thanks for the tip! That sounds promising!

I'm definitely open to other options! More value sounds great!
