Is it time to upgrade my CPU?

I'm currently using an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-core processor, and I'm considering if I should upgrade it. I'm curious about what kind of performance improvements I might get and whether it's worth the investment. My setup includes 64 GB of RAM, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti graphics card, and a mix of SSD and HDD storage. What do you all think?

Before making a decision, it's important to think about what you want from the upgrade. Are you looking for better gaming performance or something else? Also, considering your current specs, your CPU is still quite capable, especially if you're gaming at 1080p or even 1440p.

I'm mainly interested in gaming, so I want to ensure I get the most out of my setup.

That's the plan! Just trying to balance performance with budget.

Honestly, if you don’t have any issues with performance right now, upgrading might not be necessary. But if you’re aiming for 4K gaming or doing intensive tasks like video editing, it could be worth it.

Yes, upgrading could be a good choice, especially if you want to future-proof your system. However, make sure your motherboard is compatible with any new CPUs you're considering.
