Is it time to upgrade my GPU or CPU?

I recently upgraded to the AM5 chipset and got a Ryzen 5 7500F because it was pretty affordable, spending around $300 for all the parts—RAM, CPU, cooler, and motherboard. Currently, I'm still using an RTX 3070. Based on price and performance, should I focus on upgrading my GPU or switch to a 7800/9800X3D instead?

I'd say go for a GPU upgrade. The 7500F can handle most cards, and the 3070 is still decent, but if you're looking for better performance, a newer GPU will definitely make a noticeable difference!

I'd lean towards upgrading the GPU next. While the 3070 is decent, its 8GB of VRAM could become a limitation soon. If you don't mind waiting for a decent deal, saving up for a better card might be a good idea.

Totally agree! If you're gaming at 1440p or higher, the 8GB VRAM can hold you back, especially with today's AAA titles.

Do you really need an upgrade? If you're happy with how things perform now, maybe stick with what you have for a bit longer. But if you're feeling the limitations, especially with newer games, that might change things.

Honestly, I wouldn't rush into an upgrade right now. The 3070 is still a solid card, and unless you're really struggling with performance, your wallet will be grateful for not upgrading just yet.

Before you decide to upgrade, consider what performance issues you’re facing. If your current setup doesn't meet your needs, then it might be time to think about upgrading.
