Is it time to upgrade my PC or buy a new one?

I've got an i7 7700, 8GB of DDR4 3200MHz RAM, and an AMD 5700 XT that I added as an upgrade. I'm using air cooling, a 500GB HDD, and a 1080p monitor running at 60Hz, all on Windows 10. I'm new to building PCs and trying to figure out if it makes more sense to buy a completely new setup or just make some upgrades. If I buy new, what should I consider? If I upgrade, what parts should I focus on? Should I replace the motherboard for an AMD setup? Any advice would be appreciated!

Honestly, it might be time for a new build. Your i7 7700 is starting to show its age, and you don’t have many upgrade options left. If you have a budget of $1800, you could get a solid new system that would give you a great performance boost.

Do you think I could sell my old parts? Curious if they'd still have some value.

Haha, yeah, I was thinking the same! Since you're ready for something new, go for it! This PC has served you well, but everything has its time.
