I just rebuilt my entire PC but kept my power supply unit (PSU), which is a 650 Watt Super Flower SF-650P14XE (HX) Golden Green model. I found out that it's from 2016, and now I'm using it with new hardware, including a 7800x3d CPU, RTX 5070 GPU, and 32GB of RAM. Should I be worried about the age of my PSU? Is it something I need to replace?

According to Nvidia, the RTX 5070 Founders Edition recommends a 650W PSU. Your PSU is known to be reliable, but since you’re rebuilding, it might be smart to upgrade to an 850W power supply just to be safe.
While 650W should technically be enough for your CPU and GPU combination, the fact that your PSU is from 2016 makes it wise to consider getting a new one. A newer PSU will surely be more efficient.
Given that it’s 9 years old, I would definitely recommend replacing it. PSUs can degrade over time, and a fresh one will give you peace of mind.
A 650W supply is a bit on the low side for that setup, but since yours is gold-rated, it might handle it. Just keep an eye on it and be ready to upgrade if you notice any issues.
Just to clarify, the PSU is definitely from 2016. I’ll take the advice and go for an 850W replacement. Thanks for the help!
