Is It Unrealistic to Think I Need to Know Everything Before Starting My First Job as a Junior Developer?

I'm currently a senior in college studying Computer Science and I'm still learning a lot of new things. One thing that really bothers me is the fear that I need to know *way* more than what I do now before I start my first job. Is that an unrealistic expectation? I've been told by others that when you get your first full-time job, you typically learn a lot on the job, and you're not expected to know everything. However, the people giving me this advice aren't in the tech field. So, is there a difference for us junior developers?

When you start your first job as a junior developer, you’ll quickly realize that there’s a ton of stuff you don’t know. Expect to spend the first few months just soaking up information like a sponge! You’ll likely feel overwhelmed, but that’s normal. You’re not alone in feeling this way; a lot of newbies start with little knowledge and then grow quickly on the job.

That’s a comforting way to look at it. I tend to get caught up in misconceptions about how everything works in software development. Thanks for the perspective!
