I'm planning to build a PC in about a year, but I've recently heard that RAM prices are expected to go up. I currently live in a developing country and it takes me a whole year's salary just to afford a mid-range PC. Should I buy RAM now to avoid even higher prices later, or should I hold out until I can purchase the entire PC? This wait could be tough, particularly with all the uncertainty around prices.

I'd recommend waiting. Prices for RAM might drop again in the coming months, and you'll have a clearer picture then.
You're in a tough spot. If I were you, I’d just hold off. You might find you don’t even want to build anymore a year from now, or find other interests.
If you’re really concerned, you could put your money somewhere safe for the year instead of buying RAM now. Just don’t panic buy—it rarely pays off.
Nobody can predict what prices will do. I think maybe waiting is best; electronics prices fluctuate all the time, and by next year, there could also be new and better tech available.
It's usually not a good idea to panic buy just because of rising prices. This kind of behavior is what makes prices shoot up even more, so holding off might be the smarter choice.
