Hey everyone! I'm new to PC building and I've got a setup with 64GB of RAM (2x32GB) running at 3200MHz DDR4. I've also got an extra 32GB (2x16GB) at the same speed from an old prebuilt PC. I realize getting a prebuilt might not have been the best choice, but it was my starting point. Should I mix in the extra RAM or is it not really worth it? By the way, all my RAM is from Corsair if that's relevant. Thanks in advance!

Adding more RAM probably isn't necessary, especially since 64GB is already a lot for most tasks. Plus, mixing different capacities can lead to performance issues. It’s usually best to stick with matched kits.
Honestly, unless you're running multiple virtual machines or doing heavy content creation, 32GB is plenty. Most gaming setups don't even use that much RAM. You should consider selling the extra and keeping your current setup clean.
Totally agree! Unless you're doing heavy multitasking or working with intensive applications, 64GB should cover you just fine.
