Hey folks, I'm looking to gift my dad a new PC but I'm trying to be budget-conscious. He mainly uses his computer for browsing the web, managing old emails, and listening to music or watching family videos. His primary requirement is about 4TB of storage, and I think a traditional HDD would be sufficient. I'm wondering if it's worth the effort to build a PC from scratch, or should I just grab a compact prebuilt option and add a 4TB 2.5" HDD? I've never built an 'office PC' before, so I'm a bit lost on what peripherals I might need. Thanks for any advice you can share!

You could go for an N100 Mini PC. It would cost you around $300, and it should handle web surfing and music videos just fine. Since he just needs basic functions, this setup should be more than enough for your dad’s needs.
Are these N100 Mini PCs really good for streaming video on sites like YouTube without lag? By the way, I’d prefer to stick with Windows for the operating system, so I don’t have to teach him Linux basics.
