I'm considering buying a heatsink for my SSD since it's getting pretty hot, with temperatures reaching around 70°C. Is that normal? Should I go for a heatsink?

It really depends on your SSD model. Some SSDs run hot but it can be normal, especially under heavy load. If you're seeing 70°C regularly, a cheap heatsink from sites like AliExpress or Amazon could help. It's usually a good investment for around $5.
Most SSDs do get pretty hot. If your SSD is mounted well in your case, that might be enough for cooling. Just make sure your overall airflow is good.
A heatsink could be nice, but also check if the SSD is in a good spot in your PC case. Sometimes just adjusting the airflow can do the trick!
Can you clarify if that 70°C is under normal use or just during heavy tasks? It varies a lot between different workloads!
If your SSD hits 70°C during normal use, that's on the higher side. Ideally, you want to see lower average temps in everyday situations. A heatsink can help manage those temperatures better, especially if you're pushing it hard.

Yeah, I guess I should keep an eye on those average temps!
