I sold my gaming PC a few months ago due to moving, and I'm now looking to build another one. Here's what I'm considering buying: a Ryzen 5 7600x, an Asrock B650M Pro RS motherboard, a Sapphire RX 7600 graphics card, a Lian Li A3 case, a Thermalright Peerless 120 SE cooler, three fans, Crucial Pro DDR5 2x16 6000MHz RAM, and a Corsair RM650E power supply. The total comes to about 1200 euros. However, I'm thinking about switching to AM4 and DDR4 RAM instead, which might save me around 200 euros. I'm wondering what the performance difference would be and if I can still run the latest games with an AM4 setup. I might wait to upgrade until AM6 is out. By the way, I mainly do sim racing.

You definitely want to stay away from the 7000 series GPU without getting a solid PSU. At least aim for 750W, and honestly, a 1000W would give you the best headroom. It shouldn't cost you more than about 40 euros extra. Just keep in mind that the RX 7600 looks like a good deal, but check if 650W is enough for your needs if you go that route.
1000W sounds like overkill! Even future GPUs like the 5080 won’t need that much power.
Consider checking out ZTT on YouTube for some budget-friendly AM4 build guides. If you switch to DDR4, you might have an extra 200 euros to spend on a better GPU! I’d suggest looking at the 9600XT 16GB or the 5060 Ti 16GB instead of the RX 7600—better performance for the price!
I get that it’s tempting to save some cash now, but getting AM5 means you’ll have an easier upgrade path down the line. AM4 is cheaper, but it's a dead socket at this point. If you already have DDR4, go for AM4—it’ll be a great deal in today's hardware landscape!
Honestly, it’s not the best time to build with DDR5 and AM5's pricing being so high. An AM4 with DDR4 can give you a great performance, and it’s way cheaper right now. You might want to check my latest post about a budget AM4 DDR4 build—it’s a solid option!

That GPU deal seems sweet, but for the RX 7600, I'd feel safer with 750W just to be sure. Better to have some wiggle room!
