I'm considering upgrading from my Ryzen 5600G to a 5700X, especially since I can get it for just $100. I mainly play World of Warcraft, do some browsing, and use my PC as an HTPC. I'm not planning to build a new PC until AM6 in 2027, but this deal has me debating. Would this upgrade make a noticeable difference?

Absolutely, for the price, I’d go for the upgrade. A better CPU will enhance your gaming experience. Just make sure to check if you need a new cooler because the 5700X doesn’t come with one!
For just $100? That's a no-brainer! Definitely worth it.
Considering that the 5600G is more aligned with the 5500 in terms of performance, moving up to the 5700X for $100 sounds like a solid choice—especially with your 6750XT. A friend of mine saw about a 20% FPS increase after he upgraded from a 3400G to a 5500, so you'll likely notice some good gains in gaming too.
Just a thought—might be worth considering whether to spend $100 on the 5700X or $200 for the 5700X3D. The 3D variant could offer a bigger boost, especially with how games are pushing for more cores these days.
Honestly, I wouldn’t upgrade just yet. My 5600G still handles what I need for now. I’m waiting for AM6 or GTA6 before making any big changes.
