I'm a 26-year-old guy from Salem, TN, India, and I hold a bachelor's degree in design. For the past five years, I've been focusing on government exams, but now I'm feeling outdated and disinterested in design, especially with all the changes brought by AI. I'm not sure what my next steps should be since I don't have any professional contacts. I'm open to learning anything to land a job. Is taking coding courses that offer placement assistance a viable option, or should I consider other paths?

Have you thought about exploring tools like Figma? It might keep you connected to design while integrating some tech skills.

If you're thinking programming will help you get away from the challenges posed by AI in design, you might be disappointed. The tech field has its own set of struggles with job saturation, especially in your country.

Thanks for the insight! I appreciate your perspective. I'm just trying to find a practical way forward since design feels like it's been automated for me.

I still think learning to code is a good idea. It’s a valuable skill, and understanding coding can help you comprehend the tech landscape better since it’s such a crucial part of our lives now.

Honestly, transitioning from design to software engineering might not be the best move given your current feelings about the design field. Tech is also facing a lot of changes due to AI, so if you're looking to escape that, you might want to think twice.
