I'm facing a bit of a tough choice here. I currently have 16GB of RAM that runs at 2666MHz, and I'm thinking about upgrading. I've found a decent deal on 32GB of RAM at 2400MHz. Will this upgrade make a significant difference in gaming performance? I know there's a difference in frequency, but with Windows 11 being quite demanding on RAM, I'm also considering future-proofing my setup.

Upgrading to 32GB is definitely a smart move for gaming, especially since 16GB is starting to feel a bit outdated. While the speed difference isn't huge (just 266MHz), the added capacity will help a lot, especially with the new RAM-hungry applications. Also, the price surge is mainly for DDR5, so grab your DDR4 while you can!

True, I've seen DDR4 prices soar too! I was lucky to snag an 8GB stick last summer for €25, and now it's doubled! Gotta love how the market reacts.
