Is it worth upgrading from a 4070 Ti to a 5070 Ti for €150?

I'm considering an upgrade from my current 4070 Ti S to a new 5070 Ti. I could sell my 4070 Ti for around €675 (similar models have sold for €650), and the new 5070 Ti costs €830, which means I'd be paying about €155 to make the switch. I mainly play games at 4K on a 240Hz OLED and dabble in some VR sim racing. While I don't necessarily need the upgrade, I'm curious if it's worthwhile. Also, does anyone know when the 'super' models are launching? By the way, I have a 7800x3d with 32 GB RAM.

The 5070 Ti is a better overclocker and about 15% faster at stock speeds, which translates to roughly a 20% performance improvement overall. With your setup, you could benefit from the extra features. Plus, you'll likely get a decent return when you resell your current GPU.

Just so you know, if you play a lot of older games that rely on physics, you might actually see a performance drop. If you can find a 4080 or 4090 at a decent price, those could be better options for you.

I upgraded from a 4070 to a 5070 Ti and found it to be worth it. However, if you're waiting for the Ti Super model, it might not make sense to switch right now. You might be better off holding out for the 5080 instead.
