I'm looking to see if there's any reasonable upgrade option on the AM4 platform for my Ryzen 9 5900x (which runs at 3.7GHz with 12 cores). My goal is to prepare my PC setup to avoid worrying about potential price hikes or tariffs in the coming years. I've recently upgraded to 64GB of RAM (probably overkill) and got myself a new 5070 GPU. I'm planning to skip the AM5 generation as I've heard others suggest. Just to clarify, my focus is primarily on gaming. Any suggestions?

However, keep in mind that in many games, the performance increase might only be around 10-20%, which isn’t always noticeable. Honestly, unless you're looking to step up heavily into work like rendering or compiling, the 5900x is one of the best you can get on the AM4 right now.
