Is it worth upgrading from SATA SSD to NVMe?

Hey everyone! I've been using a Kingston SA400 SSD for about 8 years now. It started in an old laptop and is currently in my gaming rig, but it's really starting to show its age. The read/write speeds are pretty slow, and my PC freezes every time I try to update or download a game. I'm considering upgrading to a Samsung Evo 970 Plus or 980, but I've also seen people say that if my current SSD is still working, I should stick with it. Should I invest in the SSD upgrade, or save that money for a new GPU since I'm currently gaming with integrated graphics?

I think getting the GPU should be your priority! Can you share your system specs? It might even be time to upgrade more than just the SSD, but definitely grab a new GPU first. After that, you can upgrade to NVMe and use your current SSD for additional storage and games.

Sure! Here’s my setup:

B550m ds3h ac
R7 5700G
32GB RAM at 3200MHz
CORSAIR RM850X
I had an RX6600XT, but it burned out, haha!

Planning to go for the 9060XT 16GB soon! Sounds like the GPU is the way to go.
