Is it worth upgrading my PC for $900?

I bought a prebuilt NZXT PC during the COVID era, and I've been pretty satisfied with it. However, I'm starting to feel the urge to upgrade, especially since I'm looking to grind on Battlefield 6. I've come across a pretty good deal for a $900 build that includes an upgraded GPU, and I'm wondering if it's a smart investment. Here's what I currently have:

* Motherboard: Gigabyte B450 AORUS PRO WIFI
* GPU: GeForce RTX 3060ti
* CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core 3.6GHz
* PSU: 650W Bronze
* RAM: 16GB Team T-FORCE Vulcan Z 3200MHz

The upgrade would get me:

* GPU: EVGA FTW3 RTX 3080ti
* CPU: i7 10700k
* PSU: 750W Corsair
* RAM: 32GB DDR4 3200 MHz
* Motherboard: Still awaiting info on this.

I'm looking for thoughts on whether spending $900 on this upgrade is worth it or if I should hold out for another option.

Honestly, I wouldn’t go for that upgrade at $900. For that kind of cash, you can assemble a much better setup. You could get a B650 motherboard, a Ryzen 7 7700, 32GB of DDR5 RAM, and maybe even a 9060XT or something better. Just seems like that deal isn't all that great when you consider what you could build from scratch.

Are you sure I can really get that combo in the US for under $1000? I've seen prices vary!

I say swap out your GPU, CPU, and RAM for something fresh. You could go with a 5600 for the CPU since it’ll work with your existing motherboard. Get 32GB of DDR4 RAM, which is reasonably priced now. Then channel the rest of your budget into a solid GPU like a 9060XT or a 5070. Spending $900 on someone else's used build doesn’t sound like the best idea if you can get more value with new parts!

I was all about Intel and NVIDIA too before I built my rig. Do you really think going with a 5600 and a 9060XT would give me the best bang for my buck right now?
