Hey everyone! I've got some extra cash saved up and I'm considering upgrading my PC for better future-proofing. Here's my current setup: an i5 10400K, 16 GB DDR4 RAM, an RTX 3060 TI 8GB, and an SSD/NVMe combo. I mainly use my computer for gaming and work, typically at 1080P with a 120 Hz refresh rate. However, I've been eyeing a potential switch to a 2K monitor since I'm starting to see some performance dips with games like STALKER 2. If I decide to upgrade, I'm looking at this new setup: i7 14700k, 32 GB DDR5, and an RTX 5070 12 GB, plus a 750 W PSU if necessary, all for about $1500. Does this make sense for what I'm aiming to achieve? Any suggestions? Cheers! Also, just a heads-up, AMD and Ryzen options are hard to find where I live, so I'm focusing on Intel and NVIDIA.

Upgrading to the i7-14700K, 32GB DDR5, and RTX 5070 seems like a smart move for solid 2K gaming and future-proofing! Your current 3060 Ti might struggle with the higher resolution, and at $1500, you're making a good investment for high-quality gaming over the next 4-5 years. The 750W PSU should handle it fine!

Do you have any motherboard suggestions that aren't overly high-end but still practical? I’d love a good USB-C interface and decent audio.
