Hey everyone! I recently bought a used PC primarily for playing Fortnite since I'm not great with a controller on my PS4. I'm also considering other shooter games like CS:GO and Valorant. Here's what I've got for specs:

- CPU: I7 6700K
- CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15
- GPU: GTX 1080 Gainward Phoenix GS 8GB (I also have a GTX 1080 Ti which I plan to install soon)
- Motherboard: ASUS Maximus VIII Hero
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR4 3200MHz
- PSU: Corsair HX850i 850W
- Case: Thermaltake Chaser A71 Big Tower 54x58x20
- Storage: Samsung NVME SSD 256GB, Crucial SSDs (480GB, 512GB, 1TB)

I'd love some advice on how to maximize this setup without selling it and spending more on a new build!

I suggest focusing on a new CPU and GPU. Your RAM and PSU are solid. However, upgrading the CPU means you’ll need a new motherboard too. So it really depends on how much you’re willing to spend.

I already got the 1080 Ti, which should boost my performance because of the extra VRAM. I’m not really into AAA games, so anything above 1440p at 120 fps is good enough for me.

It’s tough to say without knowing how much you paid for the PC. To me, it looks like you might be throwing money at old hardware. That Noctua cooler is overkill for the i7 6700K, and that PSU is quite old too. Upgrading from a 1080 to a 1080 Ti might not give you the value you expect.

I got the PC for 300€, and I didn't see any better deals around. How can it be a waste if I can't find anything decent for that price? Any ideas on where I might look?
