Is It Worth Upgrading My PC Right Now?

I'm considering upgrading my PC setup and want some advice on whether it's worth it. Currently, I have the Asus TUF B660M Plus-D4 motherboard paired with an MSI Ventus X2 RTX 3060 Ti graphics card. I have two Kingston Hyper X 16GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM sticks and a Killer X 240 liquid cooler. My processor is an i7 13700 (non-K). I'm thinking about upgrading to an Asus ROG Strix Z790-F Gaming WiFi with DDR5, an Asus ROG Strix RTX 5070 Gaming (non-OC), and possibly switching to two Kingston Hyper X 16GB DDR5 6000MHz RAM sticks, although I'm not sure about the CL30 or CL36 speed yet. I also plan to upgrade to an Asus ROG Strix LC III 360 ARGB LCD cooler. Just to note, I have a Xigmatek Anubis Pro case and a Xigmatek Hyper X 750W 80 Plus power supply. Are there specific parts I should prioritize for this upgrade, or is the investment not really justified?

Yeah, I’d say just upgrade the GPU to the 5070. No need to move to DDR5 right now. Your power supply is good enough for that upgrade too, so you won't have to worry about changing it.

Will the power supply handle it?

Unless you're looking for top-tier performance, sticking with your motherboard and RAM for now might save you a lot of cash. The gains won’t justify the cost, especially with RAM prices as high as they are. Maybe just upgrade the GPU for a solid boost?

So just the GPU, huh?

I wouldn’t rush into upgrading from DDR4 to DDR5, especially since you're on the same CPU. The performance gain is small for the price you pay. Stick with your current setup for now and maybe just grab the RTX 5070 if you’re looking for improved graphics.

If you're already at 32GB of RAM, upgrading to faster RAM isn't going to give you a huge boost unless you're gaming or doing intense tasks that require it. Just focus on the GPU upgrade for now. It will give you the most noticeable performance increase.

Seems like GPU is the way to go!
