Is it worth upgrading to 6400MHz RAM from 5400MHz?

I currently have 16GB of DDR5 6400MHz RAM in my Lenovo Yoga 7 laptop, but I find it's not enough for my needs. I'm planning to upgrade to a 32GB stick, but there's a big price difference between 5400MHz and 6400MHz RAM. I'm wondering if the performance difference is significant enough to justify the extra cost. For reference, my PC has been running 32GB of DDR4 RAM without any issues. I'd appreciate any insights on whether the upgrade is worth it, especially considering my use for modded Minecraft. Here's a link to the RAM I'm considering: [Amazon Link](https://www.amazon.com/G-SKILL-CL40-40-40-89-Unbuffered-Notebook-F5-5600S4040A32GX1-RS/dp/B0C64CBNDT/ref=sr_1_6)

Definitely don't go for a single 32GB stick. Single channel DDR5 can really hurt performance. It's better to aim for 2x16GB sticks. 6400 CL38 options are available, but the difference in performance is only about 5%. For laptops, sticking with 5600 CL40 might be more cost-effective. I need to research more! I thought laptops only used a single stick. Two 16GB ones are way cheaper!

If you're targeting modded Minecraft, keep in mind that while 6400MHz is only about 19% faster than 5400MHz, it won't double your performance. Take a look at how much you can sell your current memory for, then compare the price difference. If it's a small jump, like 10%, then it might be worth it. But paying 40% more for just a 19% increase is probably not justifiable.

That was my thought process too, and I seriously doubt you'd notice much difference even at 20% slower.
