Is It Worth Upgrading to a 5700X?

I'm currently running a build with a Ryzen 5 3600, an RTX 4060, 32GB of RAM, and an MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus motherboard. I'm curious if upgrading to a newer CPU like the 5600X or 5700X is worth it. I've looked at some comparisons in games I enjoy, like The Witcher 3 and Red Dead Redemption 2, and noticed only a 5-10 FPS improvement. Considering the current market prices, I'm not even thinking about moving to AM5 for at least three more years. Do you think these AM4 CPUs will still be readily available later?

If you can swing it, the 5600X is fantastic. It performs really well with newer games—I’m using it paired with a 6750XT and it runs everything at high or ultra settings. The 5700X might be overkill for many casual gamers, though.

So are you saying I might not need the 5700X at all?

I recently upgraded from a 3600 to a 5700X and saw a substantial jump in my FPS, especially in games like Resident Evil 4 where it went from 60 to 120 FPS! The difference was pretty noticeable for me, so if you play more demanding games, it might be worth it for you.
