Hey everyone! I'm considering switching from my Intel i7 13700K to either a Ryzen 9 9800X3D or a Ryzen 7 7800X3D, but I'm not sure if it's a good move. I mostly play competitive games, especially Fortnite, and my budget for the CPU and motherboard is around 1000 euros. If you think there's a better option out there, I'd love to hear your thoughts!

With your budget, you can easily grab the Ryzen 9 9800X3D and still have money left for a solid motherboard. The 9800X3D is fantastic for gaming, particularly for competitive play at 1080p where CPU performance is key. I'd recommend going for the 9800X3D if you can swing it!
Given your budget, the 9800X3D is a smart choice, and you'll get a decent motherboard and RAM too! While the Ryzen 7 7800X3D might be appealing, for gaming and your budget, the 9800X3D will perform better overall.
If you have the budget, why not go for the 9800X3D? It might only be a slight performance increase, but every bit helps in competitive gaming. Plus, it’s a good investment!
Just remember, if you’ve been fine with the 13700K, why rush to upgrade? Even an older Intel chip can still handle many tasks pretty well. Think about whether you truly need more power.
That's true! Maybe it's not worth it if what you have is still delivering.
Honestly, the 13700K is a powerful CPU, and while you could go for the 9800X3D, the performance boost for Fortnite might not be significant enough to justify the upgrade. If Fortnite is your main game, think about whether it's truly necessary.
That’s a good point! If the 13700K is doing well for you, maybe focus on other upgrades first.

Exactly! You’re going to get better performance with that setup, especially for your needs.
