Hey everyone! I'm trying to get into coding and while I'm not a total newbie, I feel like a repeat beginner. I can read simple scripts but I'm looking for a solid foundation. I came across JavaScript.info and it seems fitting for my learning style since I prefer text-based resources. I also plan to pair it with Exercism to get some hands-on practice. My main concern is whether JavaScript.info is beginner-friendly enough. Can someone who has zero programming experience actually start learning there and be capable of coding within 6 months to a year? I know MDN docs are often recommended, but I see them more as a reference than a teaching resource. I appreciate any insights! Thanks!

I’d suggest checking out Codecademy too! I started with it ages ago and it keeps getting better. I haven’t personally used JavaScript.info, but if it suits your learning style, it should be a fine start. In the beginning, just about any resource that resonates with you can be effective. Over time, you’ll get better at identifying what works for you!
Definitely! I’m not set on just one resource, so I’ll keep Codecademy in mind.
I think JavaScript is a fantastic language for beginners!
I’ve heard mixed opinions about that! Just to clarify, I'm not only learning JavaScript, but I want to use it to build a problem-solving mindset for coding.

I appreciate the suggestion! I’m open to exploring different platforms if one doesn't click. Thanks!
