I'm putting together a build and I want to make sure everything's good to go for playing Anno 1800 at 1080p and 60fps. Here's what I have so far with the prices from Amazon:

- CPU: Ryzen 5 7600X ($180)
- Motherboard: Gigabyte B550M K ($85) *I noticed this is for AM4
- GPU: Radeon RX 7600 ($250)
- RAM: 32GB @ 6000MT/s CL36 Crucial Pro ($145)
- PSU: Corsair CX750 ($90)
- Cooler: ID-COOLING FROSTFLOW X 280mm AIO ($50)
- Storage: 2TB WD Black SN770 ($120)
- Case: NZXT H5 ($85)

My main concern is with the CPU since I've heard Anno can be quite CPU-intensive. I'm also considering upgrading to something like the 5800X3D since I need a new motherboard anyway. Is that a worthwhile investment? I'm also open to used options, but I prefer new if possible.

I wouldn't go for the 5800X3D; it's been out of production for a while and is priced high now. Also, the AM4 platform is effectively dead. The Ryzen 7600X can compete closely with the 5800X3D, so you should be fine. A good alternative is the i5 4690K, but your 7600X is more advanced.

I hear you, I'm just crossing my fingers that AM5 is supported for a decent amount of time. I’ll check out the alternatives!

You might struggle to find a reasonably priced 5800X3D, and honestly, at 1080p the 7600X is pretty competitive with it. You might get slightly better 1% lows with the 3D cache of the 5800X3D, but if you're considering upgrades, why not look at the 7600X3D? They have some great deals at Microcenter—they've bundled it with motherboards at around $330. Plus, sticking with the 7600X gives you a better upgrade path down the line since you won't have to swap out motherboards or RAM later on.

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll definitely look into the 7600X3D and the AM5 platform for the future.
