I'm planning to purchase a Sapphire Nitro 9070XT GPU and I want to ensure that I'm using the right 12VHPWR cable. I've heard mixed opinions about the connector, so I want to steer clear of any adapters or daisy chains to minimize the risk. My PSU is a Corsair RM850x Shift which came with a 12VHPWR (12 + 4) pin cable, and it's labeled as type 5. I know there are different variations of these cables, so can anyone confirm if mine is compatible and up-to-date? I would really appreciate any insights!

You're all set! Any compatible 12VHPWR cable will work with your 9070XT. The only exception is the 5090 model which requires a specific 600W cable. I have a 9070XT too, and I'm using the 450W 12VHPWR cable from my PSU without any issues.
You're definitely compatible with what you have. You're good to go!
Great, now I just need to hunt for some good Black Friday deals!
If you're worried about reliability, you might want to consider going with a 3x8-pin cable instead, just for peace of mind.
I get that, but I'm really set on the Sapphire Nitro model. It's true that the connector makes some people nervous, but it's not like it's a huge power draw. Staying away from adapters should help, I think. Plus, I haven't upgraded in over a decade, so it's about time I treated myself!
Totally get it! Sometimes you just have to go for what you want.

Appreciate the reassurance!
