Hey everyone, I just put together a budget PC build for around $500 and I'm looking for feedback since I've never built a PC before. Here's the breakdown of my components: I went with an AMD Ryzen 5 5500 CPU, an MSI B550M Micro ATX motherboard, and 32GB of G.Skill RAM. For storage, I selected a Samsung 990 EVO Plus 1TB SSD, and the graphics card is an EVGA GTX 1070. The total cost comes to about $505.69, which includes all essentials. My main requirement is to run games like RDR2 and Elden Ring at 1080p 60fps with high settings, plus I need it to handle some engineering software that consumes a lot of RAM. I'm a bit worried about the GPU selection and the motherboard since I've read mixed reviews about the MSI B550M. Are there any recommendations for an affordable GPU from eBay, and do you think the motherboard will do the trick? Any advice would really help!

Since your CPU comes with a cooler, using that is a smart move to save a bit on costs. And don't stress too much about the MSI B550M. It's a decent board, just make sure the BIOS is updated for the best compatibility with your parts.
If you're looking for a budget-friendly GPU, I’d recommend checking out the RX 5700 XT. It offers solid performance for the price, especially for those games you're interested in. Just make sure to verify the seller's reputation on eBay before buying to avoid any scams. Good luck!
I found one on eBay! Just make sure it has a good return policy in case something goes wrong.
Yeah, I bought a used GPU once and made sure to check the seller ratings. It worked out well!
I’ve heard good things about the MSI boards in general; just be aware of potential issues from outdated firmware.
