Hey everyone! I recently upgraded my setup from a 5700X3D with an RTX 4060 and 16GB of 3200MHz RAM to a new RTX 5070. I've started gaming at 1440p but I'm facing some weird stutter issues in crowded areas, especially in certain games like Forza Horizon 5 and Horizon Zero Dawn. My FPS is dropping significantly in these dense environments even though my GPU usage is high and my CPU usage spikes as well. I never had this issue at 1080p with the 4060. I want to know if I'm bottlenecking with my 5700X3D, or if the 16GB of RAM just isn't cutting it for 1440p gaming anymore. Here are some details:
- Forza Horizon 5 (1440p, Extreme settings): ~110 FPS (1% low around 55-70 FPS), GPU ~85%, VRAM ~9.2GB, CPU ~50%, RAM ~14GB
- Horizon Zero Dawn (1440p, Very High settings): ~80 FPS (1% low around 40-55 FPS), GPU ~85%, VRAM ~9.8GB, CPU ~85%, RAM ~14.8GB
Any advice? Thanks!

I think the RAM could be the issue here. I'm running a 5800X3D and an RTX 5080 for 1440p, and it runs smoothly. My setup has 32GB RAM, so I wonder if your 16GB is just not enough for those titles.
It sounds like your setup should handle the RTX 5070 fine, so it might actually be a RAM or driver issue. The 5700X3D is a solid CPU to pair with that GPU.
I have a similar setup and don't experience stutters in Forza. You might want to try using DDU to completely reinstall your drivers. Sometimes a clean driver install can fix weird performance issues.

I did a clean driver install when I got the new GPU and even formatted my PC. I was on the latest driver (580) but I had to go back to 577 because of stutters, and they still happen.
