I'm wondering if my current CPU and GPU setup is limiting my gaming performance, or if there are other factors at play. Should I consider selling my current PC and building a new one instead? Here's what I have:

- CPU: Intel i5 11400
- GPU: RTX 2070 EVGA
- RAM: 32GB DDR4 3200MHz
- Motherboard: ASUS TUF Gaming Plus WiFi
- Power Supply: 800 Watt RGB
- Storage: 1TB NVMe SSD & 256GB NVMe SSD

Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated!

It might be worth looking into newer platforms, like LGA 1700, which supports DDR4. If you're thinking about a full upgrade, let me know what options you're considering. I've got some spare parts that might help you out!

I'm mostly looking for a CPU and GPU upgrade to stay under $600 total. Do you think that's realistic?

Honestly, your pairing looks fine for now. Upgrading to a more modern CPU might help if you decide to go for a new GPU like a 3070 or 4070. However, keep in mind that the current market makes it tough to find good deals on new parts right now.

With that setup, it seems like you're in a decent position. Check your GPU utilization while gaming; if it’s over 95%, then your CPU isn't the bottleneck. Otherwise, consider your resolution—1080p can put more strain on your CPU than higher resolutions.

What exactly are you trying to achieve? If gaming is your focus, it's possible both your CPU and GPU could use upgrades to improve performance. Personally, I'd suggest selling your current setup, though you could keep parts like the RAM and power supply, which are still valuable.

I'm mostly focused on gaming. Selling feels risky because RAM prices are so high right now!
