I'm new to PC ownership and I'm looking to build a system that shines with RGB lighting while being capable of both gaming and video editing. I'd like feedback on the components I've selected to ensure they all work well together. Here's my planned build:

- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 9 7900X 12-Core at 4.7 GHz
- **Motherboard**: GIGABYTE X870E AORUS ELITE with Wi-Fi 7 support
- **Memory**: G.SKILL Ripjaws M5 RGB 48GB RAM
- **Graphics Card**: GIGABYTE Gaming GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB
- **Case**: MONTECH KING 95 PRO with six pre-installed ARGB fans
- **Power Supply**: Thermaltake Toughpower GT 750W, 80 Plus Gold
- **Storage**: Patriot P410 1TB SSD
- **CPU Cooler**: ASRock PHANTOM GAMING 360
- **Mouse**: Razer Basilisk V3 Pro
- **Speakers**: Creative GigaWorks T40 Series II

The total comes out to about $2,482.63. I need to know if everything is compatible and if this build is suitable for the tasks I mentioned, mainly focusing on video editing at 1440p and gaming.

With a few tweaks, you could save around $200 and possibly get better performance overall! Here's a modified list: Ryzen 9 9900X, a cheaper motherboard, and a different graphics card that offers better ray tracing. Check it out: [My PC Build](https://newegg.io/6ef4cc5)!

Thanks for suggesting that! I’ll see how my build stacks up against yours.

You might want to check out PC Part Picker for compatibility. It's helpful for ensuring your parts fit together. Your CPU is decent, but for future-proofing and better performance, consider upgrading to a Ryzen 9 9900X instead. As for your RAM, make sure it’s running optimally with your motherboard!

I appreciate that! Didn’t realize I could look there. I'll check out the 9900X.

Before you dive in, I have to ask—are you leaning more toward gaming or video editing? Your specs are solid, but that might affect what aspects of your build you'll want to prioritize. For 1440p, the graphics card you've chosen—RTX 5060 Ti—should handle it well for gaming, but it’s worth checking if it meets your video editing needs too!

Mainly video editing. I want a crisp 1440p experience!
