I think I've damaged the CPU socket on my motherboard. I'm unsure whether I should attempt to fix it myself or just go ahead and initiate a return. I've attached a link to some pictures of the damage. Any advice on how to proceed?

It's tough to make a call just from images, but you might want to check out some YouTube tutorials on CPU socket repairs. If you feel confident, you could give it a shot!
If you broke it yourself, it might be worth trying to fix rather than shelling out for a new motherboard. From what I can see, it could be repairable with a magnifying glass and a tiny flat screwdriver. But if it came that way, just return it instead.

I think I’ll go ahead and RMA it, claiming the motherboard isn’t working. Hopefully, I can get a replacement.
