Hey all! I just finished laying out my first gaming PC build on PCPartPicker and I'm a bit nervous about whether everything is optimized before I make the purchase. I'm looking to run games like Helldivers 2 and Baldur's Gate 3 at 60+fps with good graphics! My current budget is around $1000, but it went a bit over at $1080 with the monitor included. I'm open to suggestions for better or more budget-friendly parts that still deliver great performance. Here's what I've got so far:

- AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 3.8 GHz 8-Core Processor
- Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE CPU Cooler
- Asus PRIME B550M-A WIFI II Motherboard
- Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32 GB DDR4-3600 Memory
- Lexar NM790 2 TB NVMe SSD
- XFX Speedster SWFT 210 Radeon RX 6600 8 GB GPU
- Montech XR ATX Mid Tower Case
- EVGA 500 BQ 500 W Power Supply

And the monitor I'm eyeing is a 24 Inch 165 Hz 1080p from Viewedge. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

If you're mainly gaming, look at the cooling solution as well. A good cooler can really keep your CPU performance high under load. Just something to keep in mind while making decisions!

Honestly, I’d recommend going with the AM5 platform instead of AM4. You’ll have a more future-proof setup that you can upgrade down the line. Right now, the AM4 platform is getting a bit outdated. If you're planning to keep this build for a while, the AM5 might be the way to go!

I hear you, but AM4 can still be a solid choice for a gaming PC if you’re on a tighter budget. It has good performance for now!

Check out current deals on the Ryzen 7600X; I saw it on Amazon for just $160! It could really boost your build while staying within your budget. Just make sure your motherboard supports it!
