I'm building my first PC and have put together a list of parts. Here's what I'm considering:
- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz 8-Core Processor
- **CPU Cooler**: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE 66.17 CFM
- **Motherboard**: ASRock Phantom Gaming X870E Nova WiFi ATX AM5
- **Memory**: Corsair Vengeance RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000
- **Storage**: Samsung 990 Pro 2 TB NVMe SSD
- **Video Card**: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 12 GB
- **Case**: Fractal Design Pop Air ATX Mid Tower
- **Power Supply**: Corsair RM1000x 1000 W Fully Modular

The total comes to about $2053.79, which fits within my budget. I'm looking for feedback on any changes I should make to improve my build and whether this setup is generally considered good for gaming and other uses.

I think you could optimize your costs a bit. ASRock boards have had a reputation for issues with X3D CPUs. Consider switching to a cheaper motherboard and think about downgrading your PSU to around 750W—you won't need the extra power. A good CPU cooler like the Phantom Spirit could also save you some cash but still offers solid performance. Check this adjusted list for better value: [link]

Thanks for the tips! I'll definitely look into that list and the cooler options you mentioned.

This build looks solid! I'd say go for it. You might want to avoid using the 9800X3D with ASRock boards, as there have been some issues reported with frying these CPUs on them. But overall, you should have a great experience with this setup!
