I'm planning to build my first PC, and I'm really excited about it! My previous setup was a laptop with a GeForce GTX 1050, so this should be a significant upgrade.
My aim is to play games at high settings on 1080p, but I might switch to a 1440p monitor in the future. I want to make sure I can still play comfortably at medium-high settings on that resolution.
The games I want to enjoy include Red Dead Redemption, Call of Duty, Battlefield 6, Hogwarts Legacy, and similar titles.
Here's what I'm planning for my build:
- GPU: 5060 8GB or RX 9060 XT Gaming OC 16GB
- CPU: Ryzen 7 7600X
- CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 36 120mm
- Motherboard: Gigabyte B650 Eagle AX
- RAM: Corsair DDR5 6000MHz 16x2
- SSD: Crucial P3 1TB Gen4
- Power Supply: Corsair CX750W
- Tower: MSI MAG 112R
The total cost will be around 1000 euros. I'm also considering upgrading the GPU later, depending on how well the 5060 performs in games.

You can't pair that Ryzen 7 7600X CPU with the B650 motherboard since they have different socket types. You could either go with a B550 motherboard or upgrade to a CPU that belongs to the 7000/9000 series.
Just to clarify, the motherboard uses an AM5 socket, while the CPU is AM4, making them incompatible. Definitely double-check compatibility before purchasing!
Thanks for pointing that out! I’ll make sure to update my list.
The RX 9060 XT is likely to give you better performance at a similar price compared to the 5060. I’d say it’s worth the extra investment!
Thanks for the tip! I might switch to the 9060 XT since it’s only 80 euros more.

Got it, thanks! Should I consider the Ryzen 7 7700X, or do you have other recommendations?
