Is My First PC Build Okay?

Hey there! I'm about to build my first PC and I haven't bought any parts yet. I'd love your feedback on my setup to see if I'm missing anything or if there are any issues. Just a couple of things to keep in mind: the GPU is the only part I can't swap out, and I chose the CPU and RAM not just for gaming but also for programming and possibly running virtual machines. Here's my build link: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/738nDj. Thanks a lot!

Looks like a solid build, but honestly, it's a bit above what I can afford. Still, it seems like you're on the right track! 😊

What programming will you be doing? You picked a pretty pricey CPU, but if you're cool with the cost, go for it! Just a heads-up, your motherboard choice seems a bit overkill. Most folks are just fine with a B850 board, and the X870 is more than what the average user needs. Also, you might want to reconsider the GPU; the 5080 is a lot more expensive compared to the 5070 Ti but only gives you a bit more performance for the extra cash.

I'd recommend going with a B850 motherboard and getting either 64 or 128 GB of RAM if you seriously want to run virtual machines. It might save you some money and be more than sufficient for your needs.
