Is My Friend Spying on Me Through My Phone?

I've got a bit of a troubling situation. I suspect that a friend of mine, who's really tech-savvy, might be spying on me. He often messages me about things I've discussed in private conversations just after they happen. This concerns my Android phone—nothing odd has been noticed on my other devices. I've already used some scanner apps but they didn't reveal anything unusual. Is there a clear way to check this? I've also been connected to his Wi-Fi a lot, which gives him chances to mess with my phone when I'm not looking. It all feels weird and I'm kind of anxious about it.

First off, if you haven’t disabled any major security settings, rooted your phone, or downloaded sketchy apps, you should be fine. Your friend might have access to your accounts instead. Try changing your passwords, enabling two-factor authentication, and kick any unknown devices off your accounts. That might help secure things a bit!

Yeah, but I meet him a lot and connected to his Wi-Fi, so he had chances to do something with my phone without me noticing.

Have you tried turning off your phone for a bit and seeing if anything changes? Sometimes, that can show whether you're getting weird notifications or messages.

If you're really worried, a drastic option would be to wipe your phone. It could give you peace of mind, but I get that it won’t actually prove anything about your theory.

Sure, but that doesn't help me prove if he's spying on me or not.

No offense, but could this just be a little paranoia? Are you experiencing anything else that feels off?

Haha, I get how it sounds crazy. I promise I’m not on any drugs or anything—I just have this nagging feeling and trying to figure it out!
