Last night, my girlfriend's PC just wouldn't turn on. I've already pulled everything out of the case, except for the motherboard. Currently, I've only got one stick of RAM installed, and the CPU and motherboard are connected to the power supply. I even tried plugging them into another PSU, but the issue persisted. I removed and replaced the battery to rule that out too. The only sign of life is the RGB lights on the motherboard, but there are no other LEDs showing up. The PC was also powering the SteelSeries sound module that was connected. I've reapplied thermal paste on the CPU as well. Is there anything else I can do?

Try clearing the CMOS. If that doesn't help, the sure-fire way to check if the motherboard is bad is to swap it out for another one and see if it works.
Have you checked the CPU? Pull it out and inspect both the socket and the CPU itself for any damage.
