Is My Motherboard Toast After Cleaning?

I've been having some trouble with my PC since my girlfriend decided to clean it. I have an old GA B250M DS3H motherboard that usually works just fine. But now, after her cleaning spree, the computer won't start up and instead gives off 5 long beeps before shutting down. I've already checked all the cables, removed the graphics card and tried using the CPU's integrated graphics, and reseated the RAM, but nothing has helped. I'm worried my motherboard is dead. Given that my CPU is an old i5 7400, it's tough to find a compatible motherboard around here in Italy, and RAM prices are crazy right now. Can anyone help me diagnose the issue or share tips to fix my PC? Also, I'd love to find a girlfriend who doesn't mess with my setup!

When she cleaned it, how rough was she? If she was too aggressive, that could have damaged something, especially around the CPU area where the pins are delicate. I'd suggest checking if the CPU is properly seated and making sure that none of the pins are bent. The 5 beep codes typically indicate a CPU error, so this could definitely be a part of the issue. You might want to look up the specific beep codes for more guidance.

I don't think that's it because it worked fine before the cleaning. However, I plan to reseat the CPU tomorrow to see if that helps. My gut says it's either the CPU or motherboard that's acting up.
